We are looking for a

Purchasing Officer (m/f/d)

As a Purchasing Manager you are part of our procurement team, which is responsible for the timely supply of consumables, spare parts and services to our manged and owned vessels.

Your responsibilities:

  • Procurement of vessels requirements in terms of consumable stores, spare gear and equipment
  • Arranging of surveys, services and repairs in co-operation with the Superintendent
  • Careful Selection of Suppliers and Service Companies
  • Updating the Suppliers List
  • Create Inquiries for offers
  • Obtaining competitive quotes and placement of order
  • Assessing and identifying most cost effective delivery port
  • Dispatch Orders to Forwarder
  • Informing the vessel of delivery port
  • Follow up the proceedings until the confirmation of the satisfactory delivery on board of the vessel and the receipt of the invoice
  • Review, Controlling and coding of invoices
  • Monitoring the validity of ship certificates relevant to the particular department
  • Proper filing of incoming documents in company IT system

Your profile:

  • Ideally you gained 3 or more years of similar work experience
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Analytical thinking and ability to work systematically
  • Good MS Office skills are required
  • You demonstrate a positive attitude, are conscientious and accurate and act self-motivated
  • You work in a time-conscious manner and act with commercial aptitude

Insurance Manager (m/f/d) for maritime insurance matters.

Your tasks:

The duties include but are not limited to:

  • Negotiation and supervision of the insurance cover for the fleet according to the operational requirements
  • Representing the company vis-à-vis clients, insurers, brokers, surveyors, lawyers and other stakeholders
  • Supervision & administration of maritime insurance contracts and certificates and invoice processing
  • Claims handling and settlement of insurance claims
  • Contact person for all insurance matters
  • Administration & filing of insurance matters
  • Identification & analysis of risks related to maritime policies
  • Updating and maintenance of the claims overview as well as preparation of the reporting system for the fleet to be serviced

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed training as an insurance, shipping or forwarding merchant
  • Ideally several years of experience with maritime insurance matters
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
  • Analytical thinking and ability to work systematically
  • Desire for teamwork, good communication skills and a structured way of working
