Ship management

Chemikalien Seetransport (CST) is a family-owned company founded by Dr. Karl-Heinz Krämer in 1969. Today, Chemikalien Seetransport G.m.b.H is one of Germany`s leading technical and commercial ship management companies for own and third-party tankers and other tonnage. Since 2017 the company is managed by Christian Krämer in the 3^rd generation of the owning family.  

CST´s subsidiary Chemikalien Seetransport Cyprus Limited based in Limassol was founded in 2003 and acts primarily as a commercial ship manager.

In 2004, CST founded Chemikalien Seetransport Singapore Pte Ltd that provides technical management services.

Chemtrans Crewmanagement GmbH, a 100 % subsidiary of CST, is handling crewing services since 2009.

Belchem Philippines Inc. was incorporated in 2006 as a joint venture for crew management in the Philippines.

In 2018, the  tanker shipping company Rigel was acquired and renamed as CST Schifffahrts GmbH & Co. KG. 

In 2021 the joint venture CST/DS Shipmanagement GmbH was founded as another technical management company.

For reliable crew on board.

The crew on board ensures the reliability and cost efficiency of a ship. Therefore, we have assigned the task of recruiting experienced and committed seafarers to our subsidiary Chemtrans Crewmanagement (CCM). Our highly qualified crews are certified to the latest international standards, have experience in all types of vessels, and demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility towards the ship, cargo, environment and the crew on board.

CST is currently employing around 1,200 seafarers from different nations.

Our crews originate mostly from Ukraine, Georgia, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Malaysia, Croatia, Philippines, China, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Poland and Germany.
